Ian and Alison- Pre-wedding beach shoot

Stuart and I photographed a pre-wedding shoot with Ian and Alison last weekend. We headed to Cresswell Beach for the shoot on a very windy day! When I got back to the car after my mascara had run all over my face with watery eyes in the wind. Fortunately Ian and Alison looked much better than I would have in front of the camera! I have just added a few on the Blog but am looking forward to showing them both the rest. Looking forward to their wedding in June at Linden Hall. Victoria x

Lumley Castle- Ian and Debbi

Ian and Debbi got married and had a wonderful day at the very atmospheric Lumley Castle.  I had been recommended by a bride I had photographed many years ago, also at Lumley, and it was lovely to catch up with her at the wedding. The one thing to say about Debbi is that she is one of these people who just have great taste. Her dress was stunning, as were all the little wedding touches and I’ve never seen flowers as unique. They had gorgeous peacock feathers in the them! I covered the day with Stuart and we both had a really nice day at Lumley shooting this wedding.

Emma and Keith- Beamish Park

Emma and Keith got married at the Beamish Park Hotel last month. I used to work with Emma when I worked at Newcastle University so it has been nice to catch up and be part of her day. Since Emma had brought her fabulous wedding wellies we were able to head over to the Causey Arch for a great shoot in the woods. They had some really quirky touches to their wedding. Their theme was snowflakes and they had the most spectacular table decorations I have ever seen! They had white trees with hanging candles snowball baubles. They also had an old police car which we just had to get some photos with. A brilliant wedding and a very enjoyable day!

Dean and Katie- Langley Castle

I photographed the wedding of Dean and Katie last year but am just catching up on my blogging now! They got married at St Oswin’s Church in Wylam and then went on to have their reception at the beautiful Langley Castle. Stuart helped me as my second shooter on the day and really enjoyed it as he used to work with Dean at M&S when they were studying. The whole day was lovely and and all went perfectly to plan.

David and Rebecca- Minsteracres Church and Langley Castle

David and Rebecca got married at Minsteracres Church and then went on to Langley Castle for their reception. I covered their wedding with Harinder, one of my assistants. The autumn colours were really striking and although it was a bit on the cold side we still got to capture some nice portraits. I thought Rebecca was the epitome of elegance in the dress she wore and was very impressed that she made the first speech. I couldn’t do that! I really enjoyed photographing this wedding as they have both been lovely to work with.  I hope they like this sneak peak x

Pepper and Jason- Doxford Hall

Pepper and Jason got married at the beautiful Doxford Hall this month. I couldn’t believe how good the weather was for October! The whole day was at Doxford and we got some nice shots around the grounds, including the stunning maze, which has grown a lot even since my last visit! I really enjoyed shooting this wedding and am looking forward to designing Pepper and Jason’s Holly album.

Marc and Fay- Lumley Castle

Fay and Marc got married at Lumley Castle last week. They had the whole day there and Fay got ready in the stunning King James Suite. She wore one of the most beautiful wedding dresses I have ever seen- an Ian Stuart creation. The whole wedding went really well and Fay’s happiness was infectious! I hope they like this sneak peak of some of their wedding photos.

Colin and Maggie- The White Swan, Alnwick

Colin and Maggie got married at The White Swan in Alnwick. The whole day was there and the ceremony room looked stunning with the dramatic autumnal flowers. We stopped off at a wonderful bridge in Alnwick where you have a great view of the castle. The whole day went very smoothly (apart from a brief bolero episode!) Maggie looked stunning and all the guests were very welcoming to us. I really enjoyed photographing this wedding and continue to enjoy Maggie’s stories about her two cats, and am very pleased to hear Red’s tail has recovered from his encounter with next doors dalmatian.

Indian Wedding- Nisha and Amit

I was very excited to be asked to photograph my first Indian wedding last month. Nisha and Amit got married at the Hilton Hotel in Gateshead. I took along one of my assistants Harinder, who fortunately is Indian so she was a great help to understand the format of the day. The whole day was wonderful- so colourful and exciting!

Beth and Daniel- Wynyard Hall

Beth and Daniel got married at the church of Francis of Assisi in Wylam and then went on to the stunning Wynyard Hall for their reception. I covered the wedding with Stuart and we were both really excited to shoot at Wynyard Hall as it is really stunning and makes a great back drop for some dramatic wedding shots. I am looking forward to seeing Beth and Daniel next week and creating their album.
